Horror in Srinagar: Close relative arrested for rape of 12-year-old girl!

SRINAGAR — Srinagar Police have arrested a licentious person for allegedly raping a minor girl.
According to the police, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Zaid Feroz of old Barzulla, who is said to be a close relative of the girl.
Srinagar Police in a tweet claimed, “One accused namely Zaid Feroz of old Barzulla, Srinagar aged 22 years arrested for raping a 12-year-old child (name withheld). The accused is close relative of victim girl child.”
An FIR number 56/2023 under sections 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act has been registered at Police Station Sadar and further investigation has been initiated.
