SRINAGAR — The former acting president of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Ghulam Rasool Malik passed away after a long illness at SKIMS Soura here in Srinagar.

Thousands of people participated in his funeral and his Nimaz-e-Jinazah was offered by the Jamiat Ahle Hadith’s current president Professor Ghulam Muhammad Bhat Almadni. Besides Vice President Dr. Abdul Latif Alkandi and Secretary General Abdul Halim Wani, a renowned religious leader from Akhrani village, Muhammad Maqbool Akhrani also participated in the last rites.

As the departed soul was laid to rest at his native village, President Jamiat Ahle Hadith Ghulam Muhammad Bhat Almadni said, “It is a big loss to the organization. His services will always be remembered.”
