Encounter breaks out in northern Kashmir’s Handwara

SRINAGAR — An encounter broke out between forces and militants in Rajwar village in Handwara of northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Official sources told the news agency — Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, a Cordon and Search operation (CASO) was launched this night During the searches, the hiding militants fired upon the security forces, which was retaliated, thus leading to an encounter, they said.
