CRPF personnel injured in Khanyar encounter

SRINAGAR — A CRPF personnel sustained injuries during an ongoing encounter in Khanyar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, officials said on Saturday.

A top police officer, quoted by a local news agency, said that the CRPF personnel was injured during an anti-militancy operation in Khanyar and has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Two anti-militancy operations are currently underway in Kashmir, including in Khanyar area of Srinagar district and Shangus Larnoo area of Anantnag district.

In Anantnag, two militants have been killed and operations continue in the other areas.
